Anuj Agnihotri secures All-India Rank 1 in UPSC CSE 2025
In a remarkable achievement, Anuj Agnihotri has secured the All-India Rank 1 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2025, a prestigious examination in India, held on March 6, 2026. This accomplishment has garnered significant attention and admiration across the nation.
Agnihotri, an MBBS graduate from AIIMS Jodhpur, dedicated himself to extensive study, averaging around 13 hours daily without formal coaching. His commitment to his studies has paid off, as he emerged as the top candidate among a total of 958 candidates who cleared the UPSC CSE 2025 exam.
His journey to success is marked by determination and resilience. Anuj previously cleared the Union Territories Civil Services (UTCS) examination in his first attempt in 2023, showcasing his aptitude for civil services. His academic background includes completing his schooling at the Atomic Energy Central School in Rawatbhata, where he achieved a commendable 94% in Class 12.
Agnihotri’s family background has played a significant role in shaping his aspirations. His father works at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, and his mother has been a source of inspiration for him, motivating him to serve the community and make a positive impact on society.
Reflecting on his journey, Anuj stated, “Initially, I was not clear about my aim in life. But I was sure that I want to serve the people and make an impact at the larger section of the society with my work.” This sentiment underscores his commitment to public service.
In an interview, he mentioned, “If I hadn’t succeeded this time, I would have continued preparing for the next attempt. It’s a process and there are ups and downs. Now that I have succeeded, everything feels much easier.” This perspective highlights the challenges faced by aspirants in competitive examinations.
