Bihar Civil Court Announces Recruitment Exam
The Bihar Civil Court has released the admit card for the recruitment examination for Civil Court Peon posts, which is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026. Candidates are required to download their admit cards from the official website, as individual copies will not be sent.
The recruitment notification indicates a total of 7,692 vacancies across various posts, including 3,325 positions for clerks, 1,562 for stenographers, 1,132 for court reader-cum-deposition writers, and 1,673 for peon or orderly roles. Eligibility for the peon position requires candidates to have passed the Class 10 matriculation examination.
Age limits for applicants are set between 20 and 25 years as of October 1, 2024. Candidates must carry their printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre. “Candidates must appear at the centre mentioned on their admit card on the date and shift allotted,” a spokesperson noted.
In a related context, a bomb threat was reported at the Patna Civil Court on February 9, 2026, which led to an evacuation and heightened security checks. This incident also delayed the bail hearing of Pappu Yadav, who was arrested in connection with a case dating back to 1995.
Yadav’s case includes serious charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code. Following the bomb threat, he was moved to Patna Medical College and Hospital under judicial custody due to health issues. Advocate Shivnandan Bharti stated, “Yadav was arrested following questionable police action and has been moved to PMCH under judicial custody owing to his deteriorating health.”
Officials have confirmed that entry into the exam hall will not be permitted without both the admit card and a valid ID. “Entry into the exam hall will not be permitted without both documents,” they emphasized.
As the recruitment process unfolds, candidates and officials alike are keenly observing how these developments will impact the examination and the overall judicial proceedings in Bihar.
