The Honda City facelift is intended to keep the existing model fresh until the next-generation model arrives in 2028. Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift was spotted testing in Brazil, signaling a significant update for the popular sedan.
Set to launch in India before Diwali 2026, the facelift will feature a revised grille, new bumpers, and updated headlamps, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The engine lineup will remain unchanged, continuing with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque.
Pricing for the facelift is expected to see a slight increase compared to the current model, starting around ₹12 lakh. The hybrid variant is anticipated to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh, appealing to environmentally conscious consumers.
In terms of technology, the facelift will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 ADAS, marking a significant upgrade in features. Mileage figures are expected to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl.
Moreover, the updated model will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms, aligning with current environmental standards. The Brazilian version is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, paving the way for its Indian debut.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact launch date in India and specific feature additions. Observers are keenly awaiting further announcements as the launch date approaches, and the automotive market watches closely for how the facelift will compete against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
