“IMPCC plays a pivotal role in facilitating the government communication in a coordinated manner,” stated Smita Vats Sharma, Director General of the West Zone at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This remark came during a workshop organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Nagpur on March 24, 2026.

The workshop, titled “Media and Communication Strategies to Enhance Organizational Outreach,” gathered over 40 Central Government institutions, aiming to bolster communication across various public sector organizations. The event took place at the Chitinvis Center in Civil Lines, Nagpur.

Vats Sharma emphasized the importance of sharing updates with the PIB to improve media outreach, highlighting the need for better coordination among government agencies. The PIB has been instrumental in facilitating media visits from other states to showcase Maharashtra’s development projects, further enhancing the visibility of government initiatives.

The meeting comes at a time when effective communication strategies are crucial for governmental organizations to engage with the public and ensure transparency. The IMPCC’s role in this context is increasingly recognized as vital for fostering a cohesive communication environment.

In a related legal development, the Allahabad High Court recently ruled on a case concerning the transfer of a suit without prior notice under Section 24 of the Civil Procedure Code. The court concluded that the absence of notice does not invalidate the transfer unless demonstrable prejudice is shown.

Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava, who presided over the case, stated, “The absence of prior notice under Section 24, by itself, does not vitiate the order of transfer in the absence of demonstrable prejudice.” This ruling underscores the importance of procedural integrity while also acknowledging the need for practical outcomes in legal processes.

As the workshop concluded, participants expressed optimism about the potential improvements in communication strategies within their respective organizations. The PIB’s ongoing efforts to enhance media relations are expected to yield significant benefits in the coming months.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any specific follow-up actions or future workshops planned as a result of this meeting. However, the commitment to improving communication within government agencies remains a priority.
