uppcs — IN news

The UPPCS 2024 results have been released, marking a significant achievement for Neha Panchal, who topped the examination. This outcome highlights the growing representation of women in civil services, as six women secured spots in the top 10.

In total, 947 posts were available for UPPCS 2024, of which 932 have now been filled. Among the selected candidates, 613 are men and 319 are women, reflecting a success rate of 34.22% for female candidates.

The preliminary examination, which took place on December 22, 2024, saw participation from 241,359 candidates. Following this, the mains examination was conducted from June 29 to July 2, 2025, leading to the final results announced on March 29, 2026.

Abhay Pratap Singh and Ananya Trivedi followed Neha Panchal in second and third place, respectively. This year’s results underscore a notable trend of increasing female participation in competitive examinations.

Ashok Kumar, a spokesperson for the commission, stated, “Information regarding candidates’ marks and category-wise/post-wise cut-off marks will soon be published on the Commission’s website.” This announcement is eagerly awaited by many candidates.

In a related context, the examination process faced challenges earlier, particularly in November 2024 when aspirants protested for a single-day preliminary examination due to a paper leak incident.

The successful candidates will now embark on their careers in public service, contributing to governance in Uttar Pradesh. However, details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific roles and postings for the newly selected candidates.

As the commission prepares to release further details, the focus remains on how these results will impact the civil service landscape in Uttar Pradesh.
