The UPPSC Mains Examination 2026 was conducted on March 29, 2026, coinciding with the announcement of UPPCS 2024 results. Neha Panchal topped the UPPCS 2024 examination, marking a significant achievement in the competitive landscape.

Out of a total of 947 vacant posts in UPPCS 2024, 932 positions have been filled, showcasing a strong recruitment drive. The examination attracted a total of 5.76 lakh applicants, with 15,066 candidates qualifying for the main examination.

The preliminary examination for UPPCS 2024 took place on December 22, 2024, followed by the mains held from June 29 to July 2, 2025. Interviews for the successful candidates were conducted from February 16 to March 20, 2026.

In a notable trend, the success rate of women in the UPPCS 2024 examination stood at 34.22%, with 319 women selected alongside 613 men. This reflects a growing representation of women in civil services in Uttar Pradesh.

The UPPSC is also preparing for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2025, which aims to fill 200 vacancies. This upcoming examination is expected to attract a large number of candidates, continuing the trend of competitive civil service examinations in the state.

It is worth noting that the UPPCS-2024 examination faced protests demanding a single-day preliminary exam due to a paper leak incident, which added a layer of complexity to the examination process.

As the dust settles on the UPPCS 2024 results, observers are keenly watching how the UPPSC will manage the upcoming examinations and address the concerns raised by candidates in the past.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further changes to the examination process or additional measures to enhance transparency.
