Aizawl: 5 individuals, together with three ladies, have been killed and 11 others injured when a pickup truck which they have been travelling in fell into gorge close to Rabung village in east Mizoram’s Khawzawl district.
Police stated the accident took about 180 km from state capital Aizawl on Monday.
Khawzawl Superintendent of Police (SP) Lalchunglura stated the incident occurred round 9:30 am when the individuals have been heading from their village Aiduzawl in direction of Rabung to attend a funeral.
Their automobile met with accident and fell into gorge about 1 km means from Rabung, the SP stated. The reason for the accident is believed to be brake failure.
