Badshah faces legal action over controversial song

Indian rapper Badshah is currently embroiled in legal troubles following the release of his song ‘Tateeree’, which has led to an FIR being registered against him in Haryana. The FIR cites violations under Section 296 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.

The song has drawn criticism for allegedly depicting minor girls in school uniforms throwing their bags and abandoning their studies. This portrayal has raised concerns regarding the misrepresentation of the school and educational environment.

In response to the backlash, Badshah issued a public apology, stating, “I belong to Haryana, and I had no intention to speak indecently about any woman or children.” He further expressed remorse, saying, “If anyone is hurt, I seek apology. I expect that you will forgive me by considering me the son of Haryana.”

The Haryana State Commission for Women has summoned Badshah to appear on March 13, as the controversy surrounding the song intensifies. The Haryana Education Minister has also condemned the video for its depiction of school girls, calling it “condemnable.”

As part of the investigation, the Haryana Police are looking into whether proper permissions were obtained for the use of a Haryana Roadways bus featured in the video. Additionally, the police have initiated the process of issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Badshah to prevent him from leaving the country.

Notably, the song has triggered two FIRs, one from the cybercrime police and another from Jind Police. Police teams are actively conducting raids to locate and arrest Badshah, as the situation continues to develop.

Notices have been issued to remove the related video from all social media platforms, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations. Observers are closely watching the unfolding events, with Badshah expected to comply with the formal notice issued by the police.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the extent of the investigation and any further legal repercussions that may arise from this incident.
