Park Jin-young Resigns from JYP Entertainment Directorship
“Park Jin-young will not go through the process of reappointment as an inside director at the general shareholders’ meeting on March 26,” announced JYP Entertainment. After 15 years of service as a registered inside director, Park Jin-young is stepping down from this role, although he will retain his position as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). His tenure as an inside director began in 2011, during which he played a crucial role in shaping the direction of JYP Entertainment.
Park Jin-young founded JYP Entertainment in 1997 and has since been instrumental in its growth and success. Under his leadership, the company has seen record sales, particularly in the second quarter of 2025, and its artists, including Stray Kids, have achieved remarkable milestones.
Stray Kids grossed $76.2 million during their North American tour, attracting an audience of 491,000 fans. This tour was recognized as the highest-grossing K-pop tour of 2025 according to Billboard’s end-of-the-year report, highlighting the impact of JYP Entertainment in the global music scene.
