War Escalation
The war between Iran and Israel has escalated significantly since it began on February 28, 2026, with heavy casualties reported on both sides. At least 13 people in Israel have been killed, and nearly 2,000 others have sustained injuries as military actions continue to disrupt daily life.

Amid the chaos, Iranian parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that any US aggression against Iranian islands would prompt Tehran to abandon all restraint, indicating a potential escalation in hostilities.
Reports from Iranian cities, such as Karaj, indicate electricity shortages and serious public health concerns, particularly regarding air quality in the capital and surrounding areas. Jafarian lamented the high number of casualties, attributing them to what he described as carpet bombing of civilian infrastructure.
Tehran remains committed to peace but insists that the conflict can only end if its demands are recognized by both the US and Israel. However, the ongoing military actions and rising casualties complicate the path to resolution.
