GUWAHATI: Police detained 21 individuals from Batadrava for his or her alleged involvement in setting an area police station in Nagaon on fireplace on Saturday.
The officer in-charge of Batadrava police station has been suspended. All different police personnel of the station could face motion ‘for negligence’.
A mob attacked the Batadrava police station on Saturday, accusing police for the custodial dying of Safiqul Islam of Salnabaori village.
A lady, who was seen pouring inflammables within the police station earlier than fireplace engulfed the property, has been reportedly arrested.
Nagaon DC has instituted a magisterial probe into the incident.

Nagaon administration on Sunday demolished the residences of 5 households allegedly concerned in setting fireplace to a police station.
“We’re investigating the allegations. three have been detained amongst individuals who attacked the police station. Two police personnel have been injured within the assault,” stated Leena Doley, superintendant of police.
