Aizawl, Jun 14 (IANS): Assam Rifles troopers on Tuesday seized foreign-origin cigarettes, valued at round Rs 3.90 lakh — just some days after the para-military pressure seized related foreign-origin tobacco merchandise valued at Rs 2.35 crore in Mizoram, smuggled in from Myanmar, officers stated.
Assam Rifles officers stated that performing on a tip-off, the foreign-origin cigarettes valued at Rs 3.90 lakh have been seized from a house at Zokhawthar crossing level alongside India-Myanmar border of Champhai district.
The contrabands in each circumstances (together with that on June 4) have been seized in Mizoram’s Champhai district bordering Myanmar.
Nobody was arrested in reference to the seizure.
