Starting subsequent month, Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur in set to be linked by air-services to New Delhi, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh below the Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel thanked Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri for approving the air service from Bilaspur to Delhi.

Baghel stated, “The graduation of air companies to Delhi will assist in the financial progress and industrial growth of Bilaspur and surrounding areas. Additionally, folks will be capable to avail of low-cost air journey facility.”

“It’s noteworthy that the state authorities has thus far permitted 45 crore for growth of Bilaspur Airport. Out of which, 21 crore has already been spent,” the Chief Minister added.

“Two flights of ATR 72 plane can be operated from Bilaspur to Delhi on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The primary flight will go away on March 1 from Delhi to achieve Bilaspur through Jabalpur at 3:20 am and can return to Delhi from Bilaspur through Prayagraj at 3:45 pm,” stated an official assertion.

Airports Authority of India will give permission for the flights that start from March 1 from Bilaspur, as per the Union Aviation Ministry.

Baghel had requested Hardeep Puri on February 4 in New Delhi to permit air connectivity of Bilaspur to metros cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
