Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 17 (ANI): The primary-ever Chess Olympiad Torch Relay arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Minister of Sports activities and Youth Providers of Telangana, V Srinivas Goud acquired the torch from Grandmasters Harika Dronavalli and Arjun Erigaisi.
“1st Ever #ChessOlympiadTorchRelay Replace Metropolis- HYDERABAD: sixteenth July Hon. Minister of Sports activities & Youth Providers, Govt of Telangana @VSrinivasGoud acquired Torch from GMs @HarikaDronavali & @ArjunErigaisi in presence of eminent dignitaries,” tweeted SAI Media.
Earlier, the torch had reached Raipur, the place it was acquired by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from Grandmaster Praveen Thipsay.

On Friday, the torch relay accomplished its Odisha leg, the place it visited Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Konark.

The torch relay was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The torch started its relay from Leh.
The torch will journey to 75 cities for 40 days earlier than it culminates at Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu. Over 200 international locations are collaborating within the Chess Olympiad. Chess grandmasters will obtain the torch at numerous recognized venues.
The forty fourth version of the world’s largest chess occasion can be held in Mahabalipuram close to Chennai from July 28 to August 10. (ANI)
