The Mizoram authorities on Saturday prolonged the lockdown in Aizawl until June 14 after the state continued to see a spike in COVID-19 instances.

“Whereas COVID-19 constructive instances haven’t declined and the variety of COVID-19 casualties is rising in current days, it’s felt essential to proceed with the present restrictions imposed for curbing folks’s motion and actions with the aim of containing the additional unfold of COVID-19,” the federal government order issued on Saturday stated.
