Guwahati: The PG and Int. M.Com semester examinations of Gauhati College have been postponed after its college students staged a protest on Friday.
The scholars have been demanding postponement of 1st and third semester exams citing COVID-19 as a purpose. The exams have been scheduled to begin from Saturday.
In a notification issued by the Controller of Examination and authorized by the Vice Chancellor, Gauhati College, it states, “Scheduled P.G & Int. M.Com examinations has been postponed. The rescheduled programme will likely be revealed afterward.”
Earlier on Friday, college students had staged a sit-in demonstration outdoors the varsity campus, demanding the authorities to postpone the examinations as many college students have been unable to come back due the Covid-19-induced scenario.
