Industrial autos will get exemption within the motorized vehicle tax for June and July because the state authorities has given nod to the proposal of the Transport Division for exemption within the tax from 25 per cent to 100 per cent in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The transfer will profit round 7 lakh business autos throughout the state. All autos had been already given whole exemption from the tax for March and April and the car homeowners had been eagerly ready for the choice about tax exemption for June and July.

As per the federal government approval, 100 per cent exemption in tax will likely be given to colleges, stage carriage and contract carriage buses, 50 per cent exemption to auto, maxi cab and taxi and particular objective autos, whereas 25 per cent exemption to items autos and personal service autos for June.

Equally, for July, 100 per cent exemption in tax will likely be given for varsity buses, 75 per cent exemption for stage carriage buses and 25 per cent exemption for auto, maxi cab and taxi whereas no exemption will likely be given to items autos, contract carriage buses, personal service autos and particular objective autos for July.

“The proposal was despatched to the state authorities lately, as varied associations of business autos had been persistently elevating the demand for tax exemption within the view of the pandemic,” sources stated.
