Two highway accident deaths have been reported from town. A 37-year-old man was killed after falling from a CTU bus allegedly because of the negligence of the motive force.

The complainant, Umesh Kumar, alleged that because of the negligence of the bus driver, a passenger, Pushpinder Singh Sidhu of Ludhiana district, fell from the bus in Sector 17. The sufferer was rushed to the GMSH-16, the place he succumbed to the accidents.

The police have booked CTU driver Deepak Sidhu underneath Sections 279, 337 and 304-A of the IPC on the Sector 17 police station. He was arrested and later launched on bail.

In one other accident, an unidentified pedestrian died after being hit by an auto. The complainant, Constable Sushik Kumar of the Mani Majra police station, reported {that a} pedestrian was hit by an auto on the highway between the Housing Board mild level and the Kalagram mild level.

The sufferer was rushed to the PGI the place he died throughout remedy.

A case was registered in opposition to auto driver Hira Lal Mandal, a resident of Panhckula, on the Mani Majra police station. He was arrested and launched on bail.
