The police have arrested 20-year-old man for allegedly murdering his brother-in-law. The deceased, an ex-Military personnel, was discovered shot useless at his Basai Enclave home.

On June 27, info was acquired on the police station, Sector 10-A, that an individual recognized as Harvinder (38), had been shot at Basai Enclave and admitted to the Civil Hospital for remedy. When the police reached hospital he had already died.

Rupesh Kumar, nephew of the deceased, said that on the intervening night time of Sunday and Monday Harvinder was mendacity on the mattress with a bullet wound on his head and bleeding profusely. Spouse of the deceased stated she was sleeping in her room. She awakened on listening to gun photographs and noticed that her brother Naveen carrying a pistol in his hand operating away from the spot. Accused Naveen (20) was arrested from Rohtak yesterday.

“Throughout interrogation, the accused revealed that his brother-in-law Harvinder had lent him Rs 1.5 lakh. He used to ask for his spouse’s share from the ancestral property of the accused. He used to quarrel with the accused and his sister relating to this matter,” stated Preet Pal Singh Sangwan, ACP, crime. “A pistol and 4 reside cartridges have been recovered from accused,” he stated.
