Raipur: Maoists on Tuesday evening killed a village sarpanch after abducting him from his home in Bijapur district of Bastar area. His physique was recovered early on Wednesday on the outskirts of village. The sarpanch was on the hit-list of Maoists for previous a number of months and the Naxals killed him allegedly suspecting him to be police informer.
Bastar vary inspector basic of police P Sundarraj advised TOI, Ratiram Kudiyam, the 36-year-old village sarpanch of Mormed in Toyenar area of Bijapur, was kidnapped on Tuesday evening from his home whereas he was sleeping. A bunch of armed Maoists barged into his home and dragged him out of the home as his spouse pleaded towards it. IG mentioned that the sarpanch was killed by strangulating his neck with a wire or rope. His physique was discovered few kilometres away from his home and police have been knowledgeable.
