Guwahati, Aug 3: Smuggling of medication from Myanmar continues unabated in northeast India with medication, valued at Rs 15 crore, being seized by Assam Police and three individuals had been arrested on this connection on Tuesday, officers mentioned.

Three drug peddlers had been held at Dillai in Karbi Anglong district after they had been coming from Manipur and heading in direction of West Bengal’s Siliguri in a car.

A police official mentioned that after a search of the car, 383 gm of heroin, one kg of morphine and two kg crystal methamphetamine and Syabu recovered from the automotive and the worth of this contraband have been estimated to be round Rs 15 crore within the worldwide market.

The official mentioned that the medication had been smuggled from Myanmar, which shares an unfenced border with Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.
