GURUGRAM: Sanjay Singh, the BJP MLA from Sohna, has lodged a police grievance alleging that he obtained two WhatsApp messages that threatened him with dire penalties if he didn’t pay Rs 5 lakh to the Neeraj Bawana gang.
Police mentioned Singh obtained the messages on June 25 and the one who wrote them recognized himself as an affiliate of Bawana, a infamous gangster presently lodged in Tihar jail.
“The MLA obtained two messages. The primary requested for the extortion quantity and threatened to kill him and the second had financial institution particulars to which the cash ought to be transferred,” a police officer mentioned.
