Shillong: Whereas conventional heads from border areas have urged the state authorities to revisit the MoU signed between Assam and Meghalaya governments relating to the six areas of dispute, the Meghalaya chief minister on Tuesday made it clear that the query of revisiting doesn’t come up since it’s signed earlier than the Authorities of India.

Chief Minister Conrad Okay. Sangma mentioned in 2011 a report was submitted by the then state authorities with the areas and villages that have been disputed. He mentioned they labored on that report and requested for these areas – out of 23 villages, 21 have come to Meghalaya and two have gone to Assam.
