Aizawl: The Centre on Thursday appointed senior IAS officer Renu Sharma as the brand new Chief Secretary of Mizoram.
The appointment of Sharma coincided with the Mizoram authorities appointing state further chief secretary J.C. Ramthanga to take cost as Chief Secretary with impact from November 1.
The order issued by the Ministry of Dwelling Affairs (MHA) on Thursday stated that Sharma is transferred from Delhi and posted because the Chief Secretary of Mizoram with impact from November 1.
The switch order was made with the approval of the competent authority, it stated.
Sharma will exchange Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, who will go away the chief secretary workplace on voluntary retirement on October 31.
Sharma, an AGMUT cadre IAS officer of 1988 batch, had already been posted in Mizoram and initially held Commissioner and Secretary within the finance and normal administration departments between June 2011 and August 2012, in keeping with an official.
She was once more transferred to Mizoram in 2016 and posted as principal secretary within the state residence and personnel & administrative reforms division, he stated.

In the meantime, the state authorities on Thursday appointed Ramthanga to take cost of the Chief Secretary with impact from November 1 and till additional order. A Manipur cadre IAS officer of 1989 batch, Ramthanga is at the moment posted as further chief secretary to the Chief Minister on deputation.
