Baramulla Police have successfully recovered approximately 1.7 kilograms of charas in the Chichilora area of Kunzer during a routine patrol on March 24. The operation led to the arrest of one suspect, while another managed to escape.

The police intercepted a suspicious vehicle, identified by the registration number HR55AD2930, during their patrol. Upon investigation, 27 grams of charas were recovered from the driver, identified as Waheed Sultan.

Further inquiries led to the discovery of an additional 1.690 kilograms of charas powder at the residence of the absconding suspect. In response to this incident, a case has been registered under FIR No.35/2026 at Police Station Kunzer.
