Haflong: In a weird incident, a minimum of two individuals have been killed a number of others have been severely injured by Dimasa Nationwide Liberation Military (DNLA) cadres at their designated camp at Manigipur, Maibang in Dima Hasao district in Assam.
In response to stories, six civilians have been picked up from varied elements of Dima Hasao and crushed up mercilessly on the camp by the DNLA leading to demise of two of them within the wee hours of Monday.
In the meantime, police have arrested DNLA cadres concerned within the incident after they launched a manhunt to hint out the kidnapped villagers.
“All of the culprits belonged to DNLA who’ve been apprehended. They’ve confessed to their involvement in bodily assault on civilians which left two lifeless,” Indraneel Barua, Extra Superintendent of Police of Dima Hasao District stated.
The deceased have been recognized as Ramsen Langthasa (45), Bimal Guswami Guspati (23).
Notably, a month earlier, the DNLA Commander-in-Chief Mushrang and 46 cadres laid down arms in Dima Hasao to hitch the mainstream.
The DNLA working in Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong districts was fashioned in 2019. The group claimed that it’s dedicated to revamping the nationwide battle and struggle for the liberation for a sovereign and impartial Dimasa Nation.
