A Fly91 flight from Hyderabad to Hubballi was diverted to Bengaluru due to bad weather.
The aircraft had 22 passengers on board, all of whom are reported safe.
As of 6:30 PM, the flight landed in Bengaluru after circling Hubballi for nearly an hour.
The flight departed Hyderabad at around 3:30 PM and was scheduled to land in Hubballi at 4:30 PM.
Passengers experienced panic during the flight due to turbulence and adverse weather conditions.
A video showing distressed passengers went viral on social media.
Fly91 confirmed there was no technical snag with the aircraft.
“Due to bad weather, the flight from Hyderabad to Hubballi was diverted to Bengaluru,” said an airport official.
Fly91 emphasized that holding the aircraft and diverting it was part of standard operating procedures—prioritizing safety over schedule adherence.
Reports suggesting a technical fault were described as false and baseless by Fly91.
The aircraft remained airborne for nearly three hours before landing in Bengaluru.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further actions taken for the passengers who continued their journey after deboarding in Bengaluru.
