The IPL 2026 playoffs will occur at three venues: Mullanpur, Dharamsala, and Ahmedabad. The final, originally set for Bengaluru, is now confirmed for Ahmedabad.
Qualifier 1 will take place on May 26 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Following that, the Eliminator is scheduled for May 27 at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
Qualifier 2 is set for May 29, also at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. The final match will be held on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
This shift in venue arises from local association requirements exceeding the BCCI’s established guidelines. The BCCI stated, “Bengaluru was originally designated to host the Final. However, owing to certain requirements from the local association and authorities that were beyond the scope of BCCI’s established guidelines and protocols, the venue has been shifted and reassigned.”
Ahmedabad has now hosted the IPL final four times in five years. This includes finals in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
The BCCI emphasized that the playoffs will be conducted across these three venues due to special operational and logistical considerations.
