Noida International Airport will begin commercial flight operations on June 15, 2026. This new greenfield airport aims to be a major gateway for passengers and cargo in North India.

The first flight will be operated by IndiGo. The airport has an initial passenger handling capacity of 12 million passengers per annum. Upon full development, this capacity can scale up to 70 million.

The project represents one of the largest greenfield airport initiatives in India. It has been developed with an investment of around 11,200 crore rupees.

The airport will significantly enhance connectivity between the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities both nationally and internationally.

This development follows the recent inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has approved the Aerodrome Security Programme.

Observers expect that Noida International Airport will play a vital role in boosting economic growth in the region. However, no further details have been released regarding additional airlines or services expected at launch.
