The CBSE Class 12 exam results are expected to be released in the third week of May 2026. This year marks the first time that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will use an On-Screen Marking system for evaluating results.
The Class 12 board examinations took place from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Students must achieve at least 33% marks in each theory paper and in the combined total for every subject to pass.
The evaluation process for the results began in a phased manner after the exams concluded. Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that “the process is functioning ‘perfectly’ and remains firmly on schedule.” Reports suggesting disruptions in the digital evaluation system are “far away from facts,” he added.
In 2025, over 16.9 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations, achieving an overall pass percentage of 88.39%. The results for CBSE Class 12 are typically declared after May 10, based on past trends.
Students can check their results on the official website results.cbse.nic.in. The introduction of this digital marking system aims to modernize the evaluation process and speed up result compilation.
Officials have not confirmed if any additional changes will be implemented for future examinations. However, they assure that the current process is on track to meet its deadlines.
