mht cet — IN news

The second attempt of MHT CET is scheduled to begin on May 9, 2026, allowing 4,92,383 students another chance to improve their scores.

The MBA/MMS CET will also take place on May 9, 2026, with 53,931 candidates expected to participate.

Following that, the PCB group exam is set for May 10 and 11, 2026, targeting 1,16,538 students.

The PCM group exam will occur from May 12 to May 21, 2026, excluding May 16 and 17. This exam is anticipated to involve 3,21,914 candidates.

This year marks the first time the CET Cell has introduced two attempts for these entrance exams. In the first attempt, 8,96,236 students registered and 8,33,482 appeared, leading to an attendance rate of 92.99%.

Key details:

  • The official MHT CET 2026 Answer Key Session 1 is expected on May 2, 2026.
  • Candidates can download the answer key and response sheet from cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • A score of 100 marks in MHT CET is projected to correspond to a percentile range of around 88 to 92 for PCM and 85 to 90 for PCB.

The second attempt is optional; however, candidates must appear for at least one exam. If a candidate participates in both attempts, the higher percentile score will be considered for admission.

The CET Cell has officially confirmed that the MBA answer keys will be available on May 2. A score of 170+ is likely to place candidates in the top 0.1%.

The MHT CET percentile will be calculated based on the number of candidates who scored less than or equal to a given score divided by the total number of candidates in that session.
