The death toll in the Jabalpur cruise tragedy has risen to 11 after two more bodies were recovered from the Bargi Dam. This incident occurred during a storm while the cruise boat was operated by the state tourism department.

As of early Tuesday, search operations continue for two missing persons from the cruise. At least 200 personnel, including divers and local fishermen, are involved in this extensive search effort.

CCTV footage revealed that 43 people were heading towards the boat shortly before it capsized. Authorities have ordered an investigation into the tragedy and dismissed three crew members as part of their response.

The bodies of two boys, Viraj Soni, aged 6, and Tamil, aged 5, were among those recovered. Officials have not disclosed a timeline for when the search might conclude or if additional bodies may be found.

Search operations have expanded to cover a radius of five kilometers around the incident site. The ongoing efforts highlight significant concerns regarding safety measures within the tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh.
